The rubber band rubs up against the “projectile” unless held back, (this makes
firing awkward.) And there needs to be storage capacity for multiple “projectiles”

Not true, iSaac. If you notice, the red plastic bit keeps the projectile protected from dragging on the rubber band.

Just built it. Handy. Now what next? I think I will build a second one so that I can run competitions with others in the office.

Wow! It shoots incredibly fast! I just made one with a blue version of the same pen, and it is GODLY! I didn’t have a drill with me, so i pushed on the wall of the pen with a pair of scissors and it worked just fine… I’m still shocked at how fast this shoots with even a weak rubber band… Is there any way to make it easier to load? Perhaps using the pen cap?

I found that its NICE to drill using an Xacto (sp?) blade….just press it
and keep spinning it back and forth, slowly a hole appears

I can’t get the little colored part that goes in the middle to hold the ink arrow thing off of the pen tip Dx
I used a pocket knife to separate the pieces. The thin blade rocks for it. I’m currently in the middle of the project.
I love it! Fires nice and fast. Causes best damage when arrow is lit on fire and shot at the head. *wink* I found it easy to seperate the pen holdy thing by placing it into a drawer at my desk and pushing till it seperated.
Rofl… I need to find a rubber band like that first ^^

I cut my finger pretty deep trying to make that hole in the middle. Talk about hurting yourself when you’re doing something you’re not supposed to be doing. It turned out well, and my supervisor didn’t question me when I had the toolbox out on the desk. Hah
i started making one, and midway through i realized i don’t have a rubber band on hand.

I used a staple remover to make the hole through the pen. It was a pain and looks sloppy but works great!
