Seriously, a portable fold-up campsite version would be awesome. Imagine you leave it out in the sun during the day to charge up your solar batteries while you go hiking, kayaking, etc. When you return in the evening you use the table for your diner and power your lights and other camp appliances / gadgets with the FULLY charged solar batteries! I could definitely see a market for that.

Dennis, did you look at the website? I've worked in solar for years, and systems this size
cost this much. The only way you could sell it for less is to lower the panel's wattage, use less batteries, etc.

$3600 dollars!!

Heck I will build them and deliver them for $1525 with AC output and DC output for charging your cell phone.

My company is starting to move into this business and there is no way that this thing should cost that much. We will integrate the solar cells into a traditional table, as the way that this thing is done will cut 90% of the solar output.

email us at wingod@assurecom.com if you are interested in such a product. If I get fifteen orders I will build them right away for delivery before Feb 10, 2008.

Check out our website for our mobile emergency power & internet over satellite product.

Both the Lincoln and Kennedy autopsies were performed on tables similar to this, although only the "Kennedy" model could recharge your laptop.

To "stupid idea if using the table":

The table probably has some sort of energy storage (battery) so it would be interesting to know how long it could supply power for when covered up, and how long it takes to charge up.

Well I think when its charging you wouldn't want to use it anyway. The table would be great to use at night or
at other times though
