What a darling baby. And so fond of her caretaker. That’s heartwarming.

Also: Giraffe poos are not that big a deal. Minimal expenditure for the honor of being trusted by such a special creature. Those of us who know what it’s like to truly bond with a fur creature totally “get” these photos. I feel bad for those who never have.

This giraffe baby is adorable. Sadly, giraffes are among the animals that will soon become endangered, if they are not already.

Contrary to the opinion of some people on this board, they are not stupid. But a big shout out to Mark (#7), for not being able to spell the word “giraffe.” You’re a genius.

Too, too, too, too, TOOOOOOOO cute for words!!!!

My only heartbreak for Margaret is that she is going to be living out her life in a zoo (captivity), and has absolutely no say in the matter.

But the photos of this baby giraffe are precious, and I wish her a long, safe, healthy, and HAPPY life.

    ___________

    Response:

Ummmmm……. Margaret is not an IT. She is a FEMALE. Animals are not “ITs.” Why did you write: “It’s perfect”? Unless you mean that “Jeffrey” is perfect as a name, but then…….. HER name is MARGARET, and how boringly unoriginal (and typical) to want to name her after an American toy store chain, especially when Margaret was born and lives in Great Britain.

So sad how some people are so miserable that they can’t even see the beauty in the small things. These pictures, and that baby, are precious. I too know what it’s like to bond with a furry creature. Those who don’t understand should be eliminated.

Look at her eyes, they’re so trusting and full of love. She is truely innocent. For those who say Giraffes are pointless…..YOU are pointless!! At least this wonderful creature has a place in the Kingdom.

  34. Posted February 7, 2008 at 3:31 pm | Permalink

Raylee … I so agree with you these people above saying negative things about a beautiful animal have no heart they are sleepers in this wondrous world we live in..PEOPLE WHO TAKE FOR GRANTED OR SHOW DISDAIN FOR NATURE AND LIFE ARE DEAD INSIDE ..
a true and absolute waste of life..
these people are the reason we have pollution in our drinking water and air these people are the kind that see life other than there own as noting no respect no love for the oneness that is all things.. these are godless people.THE TYPE OF PEOPLE THAT THINK ANIMALS HAVE NO SOUL…..I do not speak in a religious manner but one of the ether the chi the energy of all this is life of all that is you and me ..
they have a long way to go before they will ascend to a greater level of being..
    I PITY THEM..
    NAMASTE

It’s pretty sad when you lack a life so much that you have to look at pictures you don’t like, give an email address, bogus or otherwise, and then take the time to type out a comment. Alex’s comment was pretty funny, I admit, but to mark (#7), giraffe’s may be stupid, but they don’t spend their time look at us online and posting about how dumb we are do they?

N’ by the way, I think those pictures are cute.

This is a baby that would not have survived in the wild so the fact that she must live in captivity means alot of humans care to make the effort. For the gift of life, she is not to be pitied even if she will likely always be captive. In captivity she can live as a steward for humans to learn about and admire her species….hopefully for many years.
Margaret’s species is more rare all the time….mostly directly & indirectly due to humans. It is only right that she be cared for by our species. Margaret IS ‘special’….more than can be said for most of you. That in itself is sad.
