Will people stop promoting overweight/obese people so that most of the overweight west feels ok. Weight is a serious issue and do not even link it to someones intelligence as quite frankly thats getting old, real women should be no more than a size 10 or size 12 at a SERIOUS push. To suggest that a fat person is unfit, unhealthy and a drain on the NHS just doesn’t really give the hole story. I’m slightly overweight, UK size 14 / 16 and I swim 60 25 metre lengths of the pool in 35 minutes twice a week. I also walk for 2 hours per day, and am a black belt 2nd dan. The only health problems I have had that drained the NHS were when I tried to cook a healthy poached egg and nearly died from kidney failure as a result of salmonella posioning!

I don’t drink, smoke or eat bloody kebabs and fry ups, yet I struggle with my weight. I don’t have anything medically wrong with me to cause this, and although I eat healthily and exercise, I am obvisoluy still eating too many calories compared to the excersie I do. That’s my problem, and that’s my life. Who are you to judge?

Some fat peopl eats loads of crap, but then again, so do some skinny people. Some fat people are very lazy and unfit, as are some skinny people. Some fat people are very fit and healthy, as are some skinny people. Try looking at the bigger picture and the individual before making assumptions.

Have you ever seen the ammount of skinny people on a cardiac, diabetic or oncology ward? No, I didn’t think so.

I think a lot of people on this forum are forgetting something… Yes, being fat (curvy) is wide spread with the advent of cars, fast food, etc.

However, what part of BEAUTY pagent do you not understand? It is not trivia game or some show for smart ppl. It is to assess BEAUTY and fat isn’t beautiful even if there are lots of fat people in this world.

You wouldn’t want dumb person to win show where intelligence is valued just because not everyone in this world is super intelligent like most people on the show, correct?

These competitions are to find the best, the smartest, fastest, prettiest or whatever else humans.. it is not to find someone with attributes of average Joe.

So, please, admit it, that smthg was wrong with this selection. Please, fat people, admit it that being fat is not healthy or pretty.
