hello..guys the first pic is indeed a swastika..but its essentially an hindu symbol..standing for perpetueity of life….Hitler chose it as he strongly believed in aryan superority..and this symbol was an important icon of aryan life…
It stands for the sun and the word means “belonging to the good”. It exists in China, In Europe and in many countries. The autonomous territory Kuna Yala in Panama wears it in its flag. Please be a little more open minded.
Since world war 2, no one in the world should use this symbol without thinking about it. I don’t like this picture, I don’t care if hindus or other people still using it. They should know better now and the photographer too.
And what do I have to see below? A picture with Hitler and another Nazi picture (with the teletubbies). Oh my god, what is happening here? This is not funny.
I did a little research and found out that the Nazi swastika has the arms bent clockwise while the Hindu and others are bent the other way. Hitler chose it but had the arms bent clockwise and for the Nazis it was a symbol of anti-Semitism.
why should hindus and other people that use the symbol have to stop using it? its been a religious symbol long before it was used by the nazis and by not using it anymore would just add to what the nazi party has taken from this world.
@uc: I have no problem with ANYONE using the symbol as long as they use the proper one. I was in Vietnam and saw the swastika everywhere. The difference between it and the one the Nazis used was the direction the arms were bent. Take a swastika the Nazis used and hold it up to a mirror. What you will see is the swastika as some eastern religions use. Get the picture.
alright let me clarify things that which other have already clarified. Yes the there is a difference in the usage of the two symbols and their meanings. It is also presented differently in different cultures.
@Helena> To deny the fact that Hitler and Mussolini weren’t great leaders is to deny that cheese is not a dairy product. I’m sorry, but Hitler and Mussolini were very intelligent men who knew how to lead people. Were they right in what they did, no, not in my opinion, but to the germans and italians during world war 2, most saw them as a ray of hope. They were heroes in their times to the people they lead and who wanted to follow them there is no denying that.
Besides, that article has a lot more underlying information about other internal religious issues in India, that I am sure you are not aware of. They are not praised as great heroes as you put it.
As for the comment that you made >

I really think you should think through what you have said and just carefully think about what you know about history. I do not mean to be rude, but when you give out a statement so bold, you must be able to back it up. The fact that someone can confuse the Nazi symbol with the Hindu symbol is common. The fault is not the fact that people still use the symbols today, but the fact that not everyone has been educated what those symbols mean, histories, and how the symbols look different.
I have been slightly offended by your post, because it was most uneducated. Good Day.
The first picture…is that suppose to be some sort of Nazi symbolism?
swastika
Sorry Sedex, you’re a moron.
That’s not what he asked.
Yes, it is a swastika (the Nazi party’s symbol). I suppose it is Nazi SYMBOLISM.
Sorry, but, my comment was not an answer… … i saw and i commented…
Gringos bibas…
Hindu and Buddhist symbolism also include the swastika, I think it could have more to do with those symbolisms than the nazi ones.

Theory vs. practice FTW

So the picture IS a symbol of Nazism.
