Paris is the most romantic city in the world! However, it was close to disaster during the Second World War when occupied by Germany. Look at the pictures form 1940s and then view the beauties humanity could have lost!

And this is how the French capital looks nowadays

Wonderful pics…
Really amazing pictures, thank you!
although the pictures are nice, living in paris sucks
I tell you, everybody tries to escape from here in weekends and during the week all the locals stay inside. la vie n’est pas rose ici
)
Creepy to see this beautiful town full of nazis >_<
Azzaz: faut pas se plaindre, Paris c’est quand même une ville incroyable
After what our country did for France (twice) and the way they treat us now, I have no desire to go there. I don’t mean to say that all the french are negative towards us.
I’m french and I’m not negative toward americans (agains Bush, yes we are, but we are not alone
). I’ll go this summer in your wonderful country and I have some american friends in Paris who love my country…
Are you shure that french people are against you ? Or is it just your networks (fox, NBC, …) ?
I should rephrase that. More specifically it’s the French government and the people who voted for them that have a negative attitude towards the USA. Now that they have someone new in office maybe that will change. I imagine that most of the french people have no problem with us. As always it is usually always governments that are the problem…not the people.
I hope you enjoy your stay in the USA.
..i like the old pictures more..people are more live (i don’t know .. the time may be..???!)
any way ..i’m from iran ..and i think F the politics ..we are people.. spread the love ..!
I agree with cpicchio about the networks.
Thank you, I hope my travel will be fine. I agree what you said, and it’s of course the same 5 years ago. I bet that USA & French govenments will have a new hooney-moon in six months…
Awestruck. Amazingly beautiful city planning and architecture.
