That pop-up ad stuff really does blow. You will thin out all but the most loyal. I’ve also missed the NSFW posts instead of this majorly photo-shopped lady. I wonder what she really looks like? Probably hot without the smoothing tools.

We have invested alot in this site and the popups are one way we hope that can help us cover our costs in a minimally disturbing way. If i’m not mistaken, the popups should only appear once in a period of time? We really do ask for your patience during this period and if you really want to leave, we hope you leave because funtasticus no longer gives you great fun stuff to enjoy and not cause of these minor technical issues.

It’s only a short pop up, if somebody can’t wait a few seconds too watch cool stuff, maybe they should try economist.com, ft.com or their local government website.

@perfect all around: no way, she’s photoshopped as hell in these pix. She has a brain-damaging voice and generally gets on the nerve of everybody in germany with all her forced appearances.
necessary or not, with all the popup crap on the site now there are 3 pc’s i use that now give errors and refuse to load the site. you are gonna lose readers for sure if this happens a lot. oh, and as soon as that white hijack ad page starts fading in, hit F5 or refresh. gets rid of it quick.
is the site still giving errors? we were informed earlier that it occurs only for IE users and we have tried some fixes that seemed to remove the problem. Are IE users still facing that error loading problem?? Stupid microsoft, no one knows for sure what is the cause of the problem, but it works perfectly for Firefox….
works fine for me in IE 6.0. one of the pics above is kinda screwy though. 08_7 in the set above.
ok guys, we have decided to remove the full-page ads in response to your violent objections to it. however, we will still need to see how things go in order to make this site sustainable for us in terms of cost, you surely do not want us to go bust right? but anyway, the full-page ads are removed for now so you guys can fully concentrate on the great stuff here each day. have a great wed!
