What a Spider Bite Can Do

Anyone looking for a new pet? How about a Recluse Spider? Just be careful you don’t get bitten. It’s venom just contains some tissue-destroying toxins and I don’t think I need to explain what it does.

Apparently this spider can be found in Los Angeles, but the good news is, it hardly moves around, and chooses to operate within a very limited space. An owner of a house could live with this spider for 30 years and not be bitten. However, if it does bite you, it leaves quite a nasty looking mark and should hurt pretty bad.

If you look in the background, he is at a doctors office. Probably not fake. Recluse spiders have a nasty bite.

They’re brown recluses… They’re bite isn’t necessarily deadly, but causes severe ulcerations in the area around the bite. I used to work in a hospital in Kansas and saw a few cases. You’re treated with anti-biotics, and later get a skin graft on the area.

These pictures are sooooo 6 years ago. Most brown recluse bites aren’t very serious and only 8 known deaths have occurred from them. Meanwhile, we have Black Widow spiders around here everywhere… I kill at least one a year around the outside of our house. We also have yellow sac spiders, which can cause damage similar to a brown recluse (and yellow sacs cause many more bites in the US).

    Ha!
Try living in Australia, we have 6 of the 10 most deadly spiders and 8 of thhe 10 most deadly snakes.

In Australia, you send the kids out the back yard to play and hope they come back.
    … I’m not kidding.

Aren’t very serious??? Uh, yeah, they are. My daughter was bitten on the stomach by one and nearly died. It’s been 7 years and she’s still got oozing and granulation there. It was horrendous.
