   Dear Son,

   We just got some big news so put down your butter knife and pay attention. You might not remember, but back in 75 we lost your older brother Guest Jr when that blizzard came along. I recon if you have any memories of Junior they would be of his howls of delight whenever there was a mail delivery, but besides that we kept him away from you for your own safety since you were so small.

   Just this morning we got a call from the County Breeding Comissioner sayin they think they found Junior out on Route 45 in an abandoned circus truck. From what the man says, Junior was taken by some Side Show men who took a likin’ to Juniors habit of runnin on all fours and sticking his rear up like a bitch in heat (he never meant no harm or disrespect, that was just his way). So we understand that Junior has been with the Side Show all these years but when the business ran out and the truck broke down they just left him out there on the road and he’s been alone for quite a while now.

   The Comissioner says that after the quarantine period we can take custody of Junior! I hope you can come visit and meet your older brother so we can be together as a family once again. There has been too much tragedy in our blood over the years and we are due for better days. I’d suggest that you plan your trip on a time when your wife is outside of her monthly cycle to avoid any unpleasantness like what happened with the Widdow Keenser. That was before you were born and I dont know of Junior still has that habit but I’d rather not find out within the family.
