   Dad had a gerbil that chirped on the quarters and a Dachshund that barked the hours. Unfortunately, the local people who migrated from Laos killed the gerbil and ate the dog. I hear it was good.

   Son,

   It was the other way around, they killed the dog and ate the gerbil. I was late to work for weeks after that until I could build a taller fence.
