   I lived in a basement and I was grateful. I also used to walk 10 miles to school and eat uncooked rice and squid for lunch. The other kids wouldn’t let me join their other kids games. I was only allowed out after dark. I still never got a key to the basement door.

   I fail to see the problem with low end housing. Nobody is forced to live there. This is the best deal for these people or they wouldn’t be there. You want to take that away from them? Maybe you’d rather they lived in a cardboard box?
