Scuba Diving could be dangerous

On land I think I can run pretty quick and if I am in my car I know I am good to go, but underwater I just believe man easting killer sharks just have the edge.  Now I would like to scuba dive, but I think I would have to do it in a tank or pretty colorful fish that just like to hang out and drink beer.  So you find me a beer drinking colorful fish in a confined space let me know.

Yes we do see awesome down there! I just got back from an extended dive trip all over the world actually. Indonesia has the greatest marine biodiversity and there are some seriously strange creatures there! As far as dangerous animals go, very few divers have been attacked by sharks and your chances of getting attacked are extremely slim. I ran into an aggressive shark once and it turned out that there were people spear fishing in the area and its best to avoid an area where that activity is occurring. Some divers have been attacked when feeding sharks and this is just plain stupid. Feeding sharks disrupts their natural feeding habits and operations that feed sharks to entertain customers should all stop.

    Happy diving!

      Colin –

Thanks for the comment. I have always really wanted to go diving when i head down to the islands and have never gone out because my wife doesn’t swim and I feel bd leaving her behind for the day. Next time down I am going o take the plunge and experience it first hand.

@Maverick: You don’t need to know how to swim to go diving, if you are going with an instructor. Just in case you wife wants to try :)

The photo of the jellyfish looks just like the exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California. Not exactly a scuba diving picture!
