The scene in Mumbai is no that of a thriving city in India. With economic growth and businesses flocking to the country the wealth is clearly not being spread around. For those of you that saw the movie Slumdog Millionaire these scenes might be familiar. I complain when I can’t get hot water for a morning shower and I can’t imagine leaving in these conditions. With all the companies sending work over seas it is sad that these conditions still exist.

This is poverty tourism, I am surprised that they didn; tell you that real estate and rents in Mumbai are higher than New York and Tokyo, biased and bigoted pictorial. Mumbai rocks and ask any expatriate, they will give their right arm to come down. India still grows at 7 per cent!

I appreciate the comment. Are you aware of current conditions shown is these images? Have they improved or is there still a section that is this poor?

Every city has its bad angles. Check any US or European cities. Same goes for Mumbai. But it still rocks.
This is why the British shouldn’t have left India.
