Famke Janssen is a 43 year old actress that is best known to most people for playing Dr. Jean Grey in the X-Men series, but her career started long before that.  Born in Amstelveen, Netherlands she moved to the US in 1984 where she began a career as a model with Elite Model Management.  After retiring from the modeling world in the early 90’s she attended Columbia University and later moved to LA to take a shot at acting.   It didn’t take long for her to get work starring in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Father & Sons, and a movie role as Xenia Onatopp in James Bond Golden Eye.  You might also recall hr role as Petra in Rounders where Matt Damon turned down a night of fun with her — what an idiot!!  She has several movies in varying stages of production.
