I grew up in the 80′s and was a fan of KISS because my friends older brother said they were cool so that meant we had to think they were cool also. As the 80′s moved on the great rise of the hair bands took over and they brought us some of the greatest album covers ever! You can’t forget Motley Crue, Scorpion, Great White, Bon Jovi, Ratt, Warrant, Twisted Sister, and so much more. You won’t admit it now, but if on of their songs stars playing on the radio you can’t help but drum along. Hell the cut the cake song at my wedding was Pour Some Sugar On Me…selected by my wife by the way.

ALTHOUGH I ROCK IN THE 80′S,I WAS MORE INTO BANDS LIKE EARLY METALLICA (FIRST 3 ALBUMS),TESTAMENT,MEGADETH, DEATH,DEAD HORSE,ANVIL,TROUBLE,WASP,ACCEPT,ANTHRAX.
WHILE I STILL LISTEN TO 80′S METAL I ALSO LISTEN TO THE NEW STUFF FROM BAND ALOT HARDER
BUT AWESOME SHIT LIKE: ALL SHALL PERISH,THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD,AND MANY MORE…….
Thing is… a lot of these bands are still around. Cool! And the top one is Nitro, iirc. They were just being plain obnoxious.
some hair bands have stood the test of time…the hair is still long for some but just without the teasing
Hair bands are like Disco music: they sucked in their own time, they sucked after, and they sucked when they “became cool again”. As the 1980s saying goes, “Disco STILL sucks!” and so do hair metal bands.
To be worth listening to a group must be able to play and write songs. Hair metal shouldn’t be played and should be written off.

You should have put a picture of Tokio Hotel at the end of it.
