I rode a bus on a road on the island of Mindoro in the Philippines that was nowhere near as steep or narrow, and it was still frightening.
The road was barely 8 meters wide in most places, 6 meters in some. And while it may have only been 50-100 meters down the highest cliffs, not hundreds of meters, it was still high enough to kill. And with the way the Filipinos drive, you’d think they’re in a hurry to meet their “god”.
i always get nervous when I travel and have to drive on some of these so called roads
HEY I WENT TO PERU IN MAY LAST YEAR AND THERE WAS SOME OF THESE TYPES OF ROADS AND I HAD THE WINDOW SEAT ON THE BUS I SURE WAS NERVOUS…
I have been on roads like this on my trips….its scary but a little magic tobacco (weed) takes care of the stress….
really good shots there…. i liked them in india also there are many places like this..Hopefully drivers are some what experienced though our lives are in their hands.I would never like to drive on these …
So, how do they resolve a big truck and a big bus meeting on that road?
I assume they must be really good at backing up.
from what I saw on the show on TLC or Discovery there are certain sections wide enough for two vehicles to pass…you just have to be at that section when passing occurs. So a lot of backing up.
Mixing beauty and danger is exciting if especially if you make it home alive.
OMG!
