If you are like me you have a couple of components at home that require a remote.  I have my 52″ Samsung TV,  Samsung Blu-Ray, TiVo, cable box, PS3, receiver, and probably some stuff  I am forgetting.  The cable remote with work with the TV, but not any of the TV advanced functions – just power and volume.  Nothing works with Tivo which makes me not want to use it half the time.  The solution was the Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote which allowed me to easily configure everything right the rough my computer.  The system receives regular updates so the remote doesn’t become outdated as new devices come on the market, it has a nice color screen, and can handle the advanced functions you have on the actual remotes.  Not to mention you eliminate the clutter of having 10 remotes floating around.  If you want to use this with your PS3 because it is your Blu-Ray player you need to pick up an adapter for it, but you don’t have to get that PS3 remote.
