I know the Swine Flu is getting all the press these days, but drink an driving, drugs, and smoking claim more lives in a day than the pig sniffles will this year. These ads make you think before getting behind a wheel, taking a hit, or lighting up.

Some really cool ads from Absolut, Levi’s, Nike, Pioneer, and Eristoff Vodka. In order to stand out from everyone else you have to get unique so people will stop and look. I think the Pioneer ads kick ass!

This is an annual advertising festival called 100 watts, which has a history of more than 18 years already. The theme for this year was ‘Awarding Effective Advertising’, which basically means the supreme impact of ads such that they can sell things to people who absolutely have no need of them. Here is a few of the promotional ads for this festival that I thought were hilarious.

A German website, Pundo3000.com, has conducted a study of 100 different products by comparing the look of the products as shown by the packaging with the actual contents inside the boxes. Quoting the website, which is in German: “All products were purchased, the packaging photographed and the contents prepared and photographed too. All products were then eaten up.” and also: “The purpose of the project is not to discredit any brands or products but to critically compare the packaging advertising with the inside contents”.

Creative advertising campaign by the Hamburg agency for the manufacturer of the sharpest kitchen knives in the country, WMF. A number of prints show how one can carve delicate figures out of fruits and vegs, with the help of their knives presumably!

You’ve got to speak for yourself, decide for yourself and think for yourself! That’s the message the Metro Newspaper is trying to send! According to their advertising campaign, the paper just provides the facts without imposing their editors ‘ views, so that the readers can decide for themselves what is right and what is wrong.
