If you ever needed to find a replacement keyboard for a machine you bought in the 80’s I think some of these dumps might be a good place to look.

Eric Testroete is a 3d artist from Vancouver that has done work in the gaming industry. I came across this little project he completed or a really cool 3d paper head that just looks a bit freaky. Check out his site here.

Today’s tech toy is designed for those of you that are big into digital media. From movies, to music, to pictures we all have more media than we know what to do with most of the time. My wife has an Apple MacBook Pro and I run everything of a Sony desktop, but combined we have gigs of media we want to hold onto. The HP EX485 MediaSmart Home Server
is what i am going to pick up to handle all my storage and backup needs. The server comes with a 750GB drive out of the box and is expandable to 9 terabytes! Not only will it work with any Windows based machine, but it will also support Apple backups using Time machine which makes this server great for everything I won. The best part is the price is under $500 so the cot to get started is only a little more than buying a large external hard drive.

Since I know a lot of you out there are die hard Mac fans i thought I would make sure you are aware that the newest Mac OS is now available for pre-order! The Mac OS X Snow Leopard is the latest in a long lines of top notch quality operating systems from Apple. If you are currently running OS X Leopard you qualify for a simple $29 upgrade deal and those using an older OS there are options for you too!
I once worked for a company that had a LAN room similar to this on. They had never traced a cable back, but had been unhooking once to run new ones in their place. Over the course of 4 years it created a rat’s nest of wires so severe it cost thousands of dollars for a company to come in and rewire it over a 4 day weekend.

If you are in the market for a new laptop this little deal might be too good to pass up. The Toshiba Satellite A505 is being offered for $699 at Amazon! The machine features a 16 inch diagonal TruBrite Widescreen HD display, dual layer DVD RW, 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 processor, 800 MHz front-side bus speed and 2 MB L2 cache, Intel’s 5100AGN wireless LAN, a 500 GB hard drive, 4 GB of installed RAM (upgradeable to 8 GB), 1.3-megapixel webcam, Harman Kardon speakers, 5-in-1 memory card reader, HDMI audio/video output as well as SPDIF digital audio output for 5.1-channel surround sound, and 64-bit version of the Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium operating system. Oh and for you out there, like me, that don’t like Vista you qualify for a free Windows 7 Upgrade when it is released!
We live in a digital age where you always seem to be connected. Whether is be through e-mail, IM, texting, cell phones, GPS, or having a chip inserted under your skin – I know one of you has a really jealous girlfriend that is tracking you 24×7. Well maybe you should take a break and just go for a walk completely unplugged or end up like one of these people.

Since I have owned most of the big items I have suggested on this site I thought I would throw another out here for you. The Hanns.G 28″ Widescreen LCD Monitor is the updated version to the Hannspree 27.5 inch version I have sitting on my desk. This thing has been a lifesaver when it comes to editing pictures, working on posts, checking e-mail, and all around multitasking. I paid much more for it than what this updated model is going for and I am still pleased with my purchase. To be honest I might buy this one and keep two going side by side!

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.
2. Even your smallest mistakes are immediately committed to memory for future reference.
3. The native language used to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.
4. The message “Bad command or filename” is about as informative as “If you don’t know why I’m mad at you, then I’m certainly not going to tell you.”
5. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.
Sure we all are no strangers to the familiar errors we see on our computers. But catching these error messages in the computers around town is not as common. Here are a few nice snapshots caught around the city.
1. Word processors never display a cursor.
2. You never have to use the spacebar when typing long sentences.
3. All monitors display 2 inch high letters.
4. High-tech computers, such as those used by NASA, the CIA, or some such governmental institution, have easy-to-understand graphical interfaces.
5. Those that don’t will have incredibly powerful text-based command shells that can correctly understand and execute commands typed in plain English.
6. Corollary: You can gain access to any information you want by simply typing “ACCESS ALL OF THE SECRET FILES” on any keyboard.
7. Likewise, you can infect a computer with a destructive virus by simply typing “UPLOAD VIRUS.” Viruses cause temperatures in computers, just like they do in humans. After a while, smoke billows out of disk drives and monitors.
8. All computers are connected. You can access the information on the villain’s desktop computer, even if it’s turned off.

Some very good suggestions to Microsoft for their next version of Windows. Some of these error messages will make so much more user-friendly especially since users are already executing them anyway.
