Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza has been named the 2008 Miss Universe winner. Dayana is a stunning 22 year old beauty who was favored going into the competition. Venezuela has already produced four previous Miss Universe and five Miss World winners. She beat out other finalists from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Russia and Mexico.
