Richard Sweeney is a designer from UK who has an amazing talent with paper. He cuts, scores and folds paper, which results in awesome paper sculptures. What is more amazing is the paper he uses – plain recycled paper.
This shows that anything in the hands of artists can be transformed into something beautiful.
One will never understand why sculptors will want to ‘haunt’ a beach with these bizarre and creepy sculptures.

Very amazing sculptures made of paper. The details in them are just awesome.
‘Burning Man’ is party for the art fanatics and the creatives where they will get a chance to exhibit their wild ideas and imaginations to thousands of like-minded people. Back Rock City, Nevada is home to this annual 1-week event where artistic exchanges take place round the clock.
Naturally, apart from admiring the works of art put up by various artists, they will have a wild time partying and rocking, sometimes even in the nude! Enjoy some of the impressive and inspiring art pieces put up this year.
These are ‘cool’ (pun intended)!
These are sculptures by New York sculptor David Rogers. Yes, you see correctly, these are giant bugs made out of wood, or more precisely various combinations of whole trees standing or dead, green saplings and other forest materials. Some quote from him:
“These little creatures which we often take for granted outnumber us one million to one. Many live in communal groups working as one for the common good of all. Their ranks include engineers, soldiers, weightlifters, weavers, hunters, stalkers, gatherers, and even royalty.
When you take this remarkable and diverse group of “hidden gardeners” and recreate them on a gargantuan scale using all-natural materials, you have the Big Bugs. The effect is a role reversal of dimension and perception.”
Very interesting concept in a Moscow Park with the theme: “Mini-Winter in the City during Summer” featuring ice sculptures of all kinds. Not sure how environmentally friendly this event is considering the amount of energy required to keep the ice frozen during Summer of Aug 08!
Meet Joe. He likes to make sculptures, metal sculptures. But his metal sculptures are made from scrap parts of metal like nuts, bolts, watches, pins, etc. He is a professional welder and the way he creates his works of art is by ensuring that there is absolutely no spaces between each metal bit, thus ensuring a holistic work of art.
