t.A.T.u. is a duo formed in Moscow, Russia that consists of Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova. It was quite well-known in the US in 2002-2003. At that time they were presented as a lesbian couple, but their 2003 documentary, Anatomy of t.A.T.u., made it clear that this was just part of the group’s image, and that they were not lesbians.
