Working in New York I thought we had some crowded subways to deal with during rush hour, but we have nothing on Japan. When the train is over crowded we just wait for the next one, head above ground and catch a bus, or walk, but in Japan they find creative ways to make sure you get on the train!

I think I would have enjoyed the days when a flight attendant was called a stewardess and they wore nice mini skirts. The Grand Canyon is one of the greatest natural wonders in the world. It was carved by the Colorado River and stretches 277 miles long, between 4 and 18 miles across, and depths over a mile. The canyon is located in Arizona within the Grand Canyon National Park.
The Colorado River Bridge is being constructed over the Hoover Dam and should open 2010. This massive engineering accomplishment will measure 579 meters in length and rise 256 meters above the Colorado River. The bridge will be open to both auto and pedestrian traffic creating a massive new tourist attraction to the already popular Hoover Dam.

If you are like me the most you have seen of Vietnam is what you see in movies like Forest Gump, Platoon, and American Gangster, but you will be surprised that it is a beautiful country with a strong cultural history. The Coconut Crab is a monster…the largest terrestrial arthropod in the world and is known for cracking up coconuts with it’s claws. The crawly critter is usually located in the Pacific and Indian Ocean. These things can grow up to 40 inches long with a wingspan of up to a meter. I am all for appreciating nature, but can you imagine the the meat that would come out of those claws??

If you are ever traveling through Boliva and want a bit more adventure for your tourist dollar hop on a local bus and tour Yungas Road. The road is also known as El Camino de la Muerte or the Road of Death, and is responsible for the death of between 200-300 people each year. the 60 some odd kilometer road was named the world’s most dangerous in 1995 and crosses mark spots where people have lost their lives.
