With all the high end gaming consoles dropping their price you knew that the Nintendo Wii had to follow suit sooner or later.  Well later has arrived and they price had dropped to $199.99!  No granted that the Wii is not as advanced as the PlayStation 3
or the Xbox 360
, but it is a great console if you want to just have some fun.  It’s great with a family, drunk friends, or if you want to play strip Wii bowling with your lady friend – alcohol helps with this one.

The good folks at Sony have created an even better PlayStation 3 , but it has come with some controversy.   The all new 120GB slim version of the popular console is selling for only $299 – $100 cheaper than the original.  Best Buy has reportedly been swamped with people trying to return their original unit and replace it with the new slim unit.  In order to combat this they are offering free games out to customers so they keep their current console.  I picked up my PS3 around Christmas and it is amazing so if you pick one up let me know your online name and we can shoot it out in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

For all you gamers out there with a PS3 or XBOX360 you should be smiling today. The release of EA Sports Fight Night Round 4 allows you to emulate some of the greatest fighters of all time.  All new Legacy Mode allows you to design your fighter and watch his career progress from the amateur ranks to the pros.  A more advanced game play allows some serious punching power, movement, and blocking skills.  Pick it up and let me know when you are ready to go head to head against me online!!!

For those of you that grew up in the 80’s and owned a Nintendo you had to have Mike Tyson’s Punch Out.  Well for those of you looking for an updated piece of your youth Nintendo has a new version for the Wii gaming system.  I happen to have the Wii and will be picking this little game up this weekend because I want to kick the crap out of Glass Joe and his friends again. Some people look at old gaming systems as relics, while other see them as a historic keepsake.  Those of us that treasure them as part of our youth always hate to see those games go, but new systems come out and what are you supposed to do?  Well if you are handy with wiring and not afraid to burn some things why not take an old system and give it a unique update. The Nintendo was the must have gaming console that took the Atari 2600 and made it look like garbage.  Well how about a Nintendo Toaster to compete with the your XBOX 360, PS3, and Wii?

The Nintendo Wii is the hottest video game console around.  It has opened up the world of video games to families, non-gamers, and the elderly.  It is great exercise for them to play some of the games and it seems to keep them entertained.  Of course I am not sure the excitement is not too much for them.  Also, maybe they don’t realize that they don’t need a batters box, a plate, and a catcher to play.  Wen I am this old I’ll be blowing up SOBs in Halo!
