The Battle of Stalingrad was one of the turning points of WWII in the European theater.  The massive battle took place between July 17, 1942 and February 2, 1943 between Nazi Germany and it’s allies against the Soviet Union.  The battle raged on without regard for an sort of military or civilian casualty   and after all was said an done somewhere between 1.2 and 2 million were dead.  This battle marked the first defeat for Nazi Germany and also destroyed their 6th Army.  This model depicting the events of that battle in incredible.

I’m sure you know about the chaos that is going on in the Middle East with Israel invading Gaza because of the rocket attacks by Hamas militants. I know that I do not have the full picture, but it seems to me that Israel has the right to protect itself. You may not agree and that is fine, but I think we all can agree that the most pitiful are the innocent citizens in Gaza, who are caught in between. My heart goes out to them…

Really great simple game of warfare where you need to takeover trenches and gain ground to defeat the enemies. Plan your attack properly and after you have sufficient troops. Call in the artillery and your snipers!

I am not entirely surprised that the $100M option won, but I was hoping that it wouldn’t! I guess many believe that money is what makes the world go round. And if you have money, many other problems can be solved. But my question is, what good is so much money if the world around us is caving in? Perhaps we don’t experience the direct effects of war right now or even global warming, but at the rate chaos is spreading, are we sure we will have the freedom to enjoy all that money?
